Just as the leaves start to turn brown and think about causing all kinds of railway related problems, the village decides to wring the final drop of summer out of the first weeks in September and throws a massive festival.
There’s music, food, comedy, stalls selling all manner of curiosities, bouncy castles, free tours of the fire station, and a general feeling of village-wide bonhomie, and this year, on the first Saturday of the whole shindig, there’s us…!
The Record Club will be popping up at four venues around the village and just beyond over the course of the 10th, starting with a bacon sandwich at the excellent Edward Street Bakery at 10am, moving on to Saltaire Canteen for a pay-as-you-feel lunch and a spot in their upstairs room at 12:30, before moving on to Yardfest to support the incredible talent performing there from 3:45, and finishing up at The Triangle, next door to the chippy (recommended) on Bradford Road for what we suspect will be a well-deserved beer or two.
We’ll be playing records all day, and you can too. Bring your treasured vinyl out for a spin and we’ll be delighted to give you a slot on our decks.
See you there. Bring sunshine.
