We’re Making an Exhibition of Ourselves! – Saturday 5th October 2019

A much loved feature of the monthly Record Club at The Triangle (& previously The Kirkgate Centre) is the poster publicising the event in the weeks leading up to it. The Record Club bear never fails to raise a smile and thanks to the power of social media has fans all around the country, if not the world!

The talent behind each and every one of these posters is Record Club regular Andy Mitchell. Over the past five years Andy has built a mightily impressive portfolio of poster art for Record Club and to celebrate he has put together an exhibition upstairs at The Triangle during October and November, launching at our next event on Saturday 5th October.

But that’s not all! While Andy’s work will be available to buy after the exhibition, if you miss out on your favourite you can rest assured that it will feature in “Just For the Record…” Andy’s companion book of his artwork chronicling 5 years of illustrating for the Record Club, which will be available to buy on the night.

So, exhibition (check), book (check)… oh yes! Records! As an accompanying theme for the night we thought it would be nice to celebrate the past five years of Record Club. Just bring along some records to play that represent your favourite themes from the past five years. Simple. Need a reminder? Try here.

All the usual gubbins apply. We’ll kick things off upstairs at The Triangle at 8pm and wrap it up at 11.30pm. The Triangle’s fine bar downstairs will keep your thirst at bay and there’ll be some free Indian snacks to enjoy upstairs, along with your fine vinyl choices.

See you there!
