Record club pops up for the first time!
We’ve plotted long and hard to try holding a pop-up record club and now the first one is coming. It’ll be at Shipley’s The Triangle, home of beer, art and vinyl, on Saturday 11th July from 2 to 4 pm.
There’s no theme this time, just bring along any interesting records you’d like others to hear. Of course we may also have a chance to plunder Triangle’s stock! The Triangle is usually takeaway only but they’ll have a full license that day, so it’ll be a great opportunity to listen, drink a beer and browse their selected pre-owned vinyl.
The event is part of “Community Connections”, linking some exciting events in Shipley. They’re all within walking distance so it’s possible to make a day of it.
- In the Kirkgate Centre between 11am and 3pm “One Day in Shipley” will be collecting and displaying a popup gallery of photos taken that day by members of the public and sent in by email or twitter.
- Kirkgate is also hosting the opening day of “Wide Angle” a display of local photographers’ work with stalls, workshops and a café.
- In the Meadow beside Roberts Park, between Coach Road and the River Aire, they will be having a community BBQ between 2 and 4pm with model boat building and a duck race.
- The Triangle will be holding a number of events starting on Thursday 9th July with the launch of Edward Street Bakery.
Photos for “One Day in Shipley” should taken on 10th/11th July 2015 and emailed to onedayinshipley@kirkgatecentre.org.uk or tweeted to @onedayinshipley
