See the cards fate has dealt you at the next Record Club when we take on Tarot as our next theme. Bring your vinyl choices linked to the Tarot suits or just pop by, like many do, for a listen. There’re good times and there’s bad. For all those waging wars, there are many more working for peace. Record Club is playing vinyl records that reflect the contrasts… 8pm, Saturday 7th June upstairs at The Triangle, Shipley.
For our event on Saturday 3rd May we’re flocking together to play tracks on vinyl loosely linked to the theme of ornithology… birds, if you like. Have a dig through your collection for songs and artists along this theme and bring them along to spin on the night. We all play fairly, no ahem… pecking order, so you’ll get a good chance to play your choices. Or if you fancy it, just come along and listen to what everyone else has chosen. The next monthly Record Club event on 5th April promises to be a treat – Sweet Tooth. Bring along your tunes (on vinyl) with links to sweets or sweetness. This is a theme begging to be stretched so we can’t wait to hear what you’ve chosen to play on our new decks! We’ll see you upstairs at The Triangle in Shipley from 8pm onwards.

We’re lovers not fighters at Record Club but this month the gloves come off for War of the Roses as we ask you to bring your vinyl from the best of Yorkshire bands and artists plus the same from that lot over the Pennines. Who’ll win between John Shuttleworth and Ian Brown, Def Leppard and The Lovely Eggs or Chumbawamba and 10cc? In November 2024 we brought along vinyl that had tracks or artists with single letters somewhere. Among the 50+ tracks played on he night we heard from CSS, T-Rex, Boney M, ABC, S Express and tracks such as Bowie’s “DJ”, Los Bitches’ “FFS” and Randy Newman’s “I Love LA”.
In October 2024 we brought along our vinyl along the theme of dreams and aspirations. Among the artists played were Bob Dylan, CMAT, Kate Bush, Sonic Youth, Jimmy Cliff and Courtney Marie Andrews.
